Getting in to Hua Hin
Hua Hin is generally inaccessible by plane. It is recommended to fly in to Bangkok and take a different method of transport to reach your final destination of Hua Hin. These alternate methods include train, taxi, and bus.
Passengers can now fly from Pattaya directly to the airport in Hua Hin, located roughly 15 minutes from the city center.
There are taxis that will drive passengers from Bangkok or Pattaya Airports to Hua Hin. The price will be roughly 2,000 baht from Bangkok and 3,000 baht from Pattaya. Buses are a cheaper option, and will only cost around 300 baht.
From Bangkok, the train takes about 4 hours to reach Hua Hin and takes you straight into the heart of the town. There are 10 trips daily between 8:05am-10:50pm going to Hua Hin from Bangkok which allows for a lot of flexibility for your arrival into Bangkok.
VIP buses (305 baht) leave the Suvarnabhumi Bangkok airport every two hours from 7:30am-7:30pm en route to Hua Hin. The trip takes roughly 3-4 hours depending on traffic. Visit http://www.airporthuahinbus.com Regular buses (175 baht) leave from the Sai Tai Mai terminal roughly every 20 minutes between 4am-10:20pm.
Car rental is available from Suvarnabhumi airport for those who wish to have the convenience of their own car for their stay in Hua Hin.
The ferry service linking Pattaya and Hua Hin has been suspended.
